Damn, you got a little workout with that demo.

I like your car. Off topic, how much did your mirrors and sail run you?

Sail panel was done for FREE I had GM replace the sail panel with the TSB that came out like in 2005.. Mirrors had the same body shop do them for $50

i really don't understand the point of using the gmmg or loudmouth exhaust setups. they're so loud and raspy...save the $500 or whatever and don't use a muffler. i think it adds a bit of bad taste to these cars. they are far more refined than farmer john's 85 chevy truck with dual glasspacks, yet sound identical under load.

i had headers with true duals and an x with 4x9 magnaflows dumped at the axle. i thought that was nice. car had a menacing idle and low rpm bass rumble but fking screamed at wot. cruising and normal driving was awesome. i could actually use the radio...and hear it.

Because they sound hella good on stock manifolds. And they still sound good with cats if you were to get headers.

My LM2 was raspy as ****, but I had planned on getting a Borla XR1 muffler when I bought the LM2 so that's why I did that. Now I have the XR1 in there and it sounds like ****, to me. And that's the thing, everyone likes different sounds and that's why there are so many options...

John Deere ftw, I guess. s346k- if your car didn't have a cam then I'd wager it sounded more like a farm truck than a y-pipe set up.

LM2 is pretty loud. And between 2,200-4,200 at part throttle sounds like complete and utter **** unless you like super raspiness...

Magnaflow screams at WOT and is deep driving around town and lower RPMs.

The only way your not going to hear the radio is if your running a heads/cammed ls1 with open headers.

Look into the Hooker Aerochamber as well. I told someone else this in another post, sounds great with LT's and ORY. Friend has it on his WS6 and it sounds pretty good. Like it more than my other friends Magnaflow with LT's and ORY.

I added a bunch of vids to another GMMG thread but I will repost them in here

It all has to do with the Y pipe.. My God I wish I wouldn't have to type this over and over and over again.. If you get a flowmaster merge, and a powerstick in the I pipe it will sound perfect. With this combo, being an O/R Y and that set up it killed I would say 98% of my rasp

Here are some vids of my car with my custom Kooks O/R Y, Flowmaster Merge and my GMMG C/B (my cut out wasn't working this day )

hahahah you'll notice my tuner wearing ear muffs

I was idlinig VERY RICH here. Just added 42# injectores and 85mm MAF

Little 4500 RPM pull

5500 RPM Pull

6000 RPM Pull

6500 RPM Pull

Idle Clip With EVERYTHING in my sig

Track Runs.. NO RASP or POPPING

Heres my GMMG on my first start cam install

Here is PatG doing the final pull on my car for the numbers in sig.

It is definitely raspy. But everytime I meet a new local f-body guy, they all LOVE the sound of it.

a 3" true dual setup with an x and magnaflow 4x9s sounded nothing like any ypipe setup i've ever heard. to each his own. i just despise gmmg and lm both. i have never heard them on manifold cars or cars with cats, so maybe either of those would help reduce some rasp. either way, the price still wouldn't merit the purchase.
