Default Am I going in the right direction?

I am dropping a low mileage lq4 in my 84 half ton chevy pickup.

Goals
-great drivability
-throttle response
-awesome midrange power
-everyday driver?

Mods in mind so far on researching what i could
-milling the heads down to bump compression to 9-1 or 9-5 (or 243 heads)
-valve angle job
-blend combustion chamber
-chromoly appropriate push rods
-"yellow" springs
-Roger Vinci "trucker" cam
-218, 224
-115 lsa
-551 intake 551 exhaust
-tbss or nnbs intake manifold
-nick williams 90mm throttle body dbc
-my own custom made 1 7/8 long tube headers to 3" collector
-dual 3" to x pipe to 2 1/2 with magnaflows (my personnal exhaust choice lol)
-maybe taylor wires if they need to be replaced (havent really inspected the wires lol)
-cool air intake obviously lol
-the Roger Vinci "quick lift" 1.8 rocker package (i know will set my cam lift up to 581 and
will check clearances)
-4l80e trans with np205 transfer case (will machine my own adapter)
-Yank 2600 stall
-Nelson Racing tune

yes it is a 4 wheel drive and that means some things lol but uh i do the love the idea that the old single cab long bed chevy will eat up the little rice burners with intakes and exhaust who think they run 12's lol. I'm i speak for everyone on the destroying of the tuners pride lol.

I do have plans on building a 408 later on down the road as far as the 1 7/8 headers go but i would really appreciate any input on my build and reasoning behind so, please and thank you
