Plugs and HP loss
Plugs and HP loss I just replaced my ngk tr5's today. On all of the plugs except the number 2 & 3 there was no oil on them. The number 2 & 3 plugs had oil on the threads. All the plugs had charred white electrodes and carbon buildup on the circumfrence of the plugbase. I recently been getting knock and flatspots in my throttle. I allready did ls6 pcv mod and oil is still getting in the intake. I am getting some random knock through the driving range going upto 13 degrees. Can anyone give me some insight to fix my problem.

Is your car tuned? If you put larger injectors in there and left it untuned you may have serious problems that "insight" may not be able to fix. A post awhile back described cylinder wash from too much fuel. Also a post awhile back described knock destroying a couple of rings, which is what it seems to have done to your engine since you are finding oil.
Thanks for your input. I just put my new motor in my car. I got my car tuned for the svo 30's. I just recently switched from 5w-30 to 10w-30 and the slowed down my oil consumption alot. Changed the plugs and my flat spot in the throttle and knock are all most gone. Still have to log to verify. But I allso realized that I have some valvetrain noise so I might need to retighten rocker arm since engine install.
