Default MAF? custom making 4" MAF for LS1 if possible.

Is it possible to take a ls7 MAF and place it in a 4" aluminum pipe and it work ok? Was thinking of a way to make one to match up to my 101mm TB. It Just don't make since to have a 101mm TB and intake and not have a big MAF to go with it. I guess I could look on AllData and see if the pins are the same. Maybe someone here has already tried it or no someone who has. Thanks....

Well, I did just find something out. The 07 Vette uses a MAP sensor also. Kinda like the old GM 2.8 and 3.1 that uses bot MAF and MAP. The Vette has a 5 wire sensor where as my 00 LS1 has only three. The LS1 uses a A,B,C, connector and the Vette uses A,B,C,D,E,F. Comparing the two A,B and C are the same. A is signal, B is ground, C is power. Thinking maybe, find a 5 wire connector in the salvage yard and only use the three. Ya'll think it would work?

After lookin at that one it looks like my idea will work. That's what there using; a 5 wire sensor with a 5 to 3 adapter. Thanks ls1curt for turning me on to that.
