Default Throttle Body?

Has anyone had issues with there 102mm cable throttle body not returning?? Just got my fast 102 and ptm throttle body on and tuned. The throttle blade doesn't want to return sometimes so I had to put in a return spring, looks like crap!

do you know what is causing it not to return? is it just returning slowly or flat out sticking open?

It seems like the spring isn't strong enough to pull it back closed. Will stick 50/50 and hold my rpms at 3k. The cables free and no obstructions on/near tb.

I used a product like silicone spray, called dry glide, i sprayed inside the TB around where the blade rests & also the shaft. I did this about 6 times over 2 week-ends. I also fitted a secondary return spring, i needed this anyway for Road racing and any Drags, it's mandatory here in NZ.
The TB just seemed to clear itself & stopped sticking, i had been getting ready to remove & run some fine grit wet & dry paper on any high spots that may have been fouling.

Thanks! I'll try the silicone spray and look at the blade for high spots. Thinking I'll have to keep the second return spring on

FAST throttle bodies have not had problems in years. The old 90mms stuck from time to time. This is about a PTM throttle body.

No returning, but my NW 102 has a stick at the top of the pedal. Not bad, but a slight irritant.

My PTM 92 sticks sometimes too. About 8K now and has gotten a little bit better. I do spray it from time to time on the outside of the blade shaft with lithium grease. Kinda messy and just clean it up but seems to last longer than silicone and the teflon sprays I have tried.. NW if I had it to do over again...

Edit: Bayer could it be your cable not the TB???

^ I dunno, actually.. Haven't looked too deep into it yet. I think it's the TB though. I'm goin out for a smoke soon, so I'll look again. It wasn't doing it before the intake swap. I still gotta check the TPS voltage anyway.

I just drove my car with a FAST 90 TB. It may have cost me my LS7 cltuch. It stuck over and over again. At a stop sign, it stuck at 6500 rpm and would not come down. I think its the reason the lister sold the throttle body. The throttle body needs a much stiffer return spring. I may buy a different one based on today's experience alone. Not fun. BTW - I just got me car out of storage.

I have the stock tb, and after it returned from being powder coated, I noticed that the cable had too much play. I'm not sure if there was some other part associated with the spring which was not returned with the tb.
It's as if the spring is not tight enough, so I cut some rubber bits from a heater hose and stuck them between the spring and the stop. It's somewhat better, but still kinda loose.
