I get the samething, it's either your car or a 3rd gen with BBC in it. I miss the mufflex but I hated trying to swap that out for a dump when going to the track and I never had any luck with the 4'' cutout I had so thats why I looked for something more that didn't have dual tips.

Here is the inside of the Dynatech!

I would love to try a 50 series 4'' flowmaster and see if that quiets it down and still sounds good.

You guys think the Magnaflow is louder then the Spintech? One of the reasons why I went with a Magnaflow, besides the fact that it was straight through, was because it was rather quiet compared to most other mufflers.

I've got the 4" single exit w/Spintech muffler and I love the sound. I've also had my kit modified so I can pull the system off easily at the track. Here's 2 vids with the full system on the car and with the system pulled.

no doubt the TD's sound good, but there is no turning them down. it's loud as **** from key-turn to key-turn. and of course they grab the attention of local law enforcement, which was the main reason i switched, exhaust tickets get expensive
I understand why you made the swap, but the TDs sounded better, hands down.

yeah they did, but the volume was always at 11 and there's no escaping it. now if the car was just a weekend warrior, i would have blown off the tickets and kept the TD's. in fact i still have them sitting in my garage

but for now i have to be sensible.

Didn't you have flowmaster race mufflers at one point? I thought I saw a clip of your car with them and decided they would be too loud for street use.

Brian - The muffler isn't heavy at all. It's a pretty lite system I made it so It can be removed and I can run a dump for the track but I'm not so sure I will need the dump anymore.

yeah i looked up the dimensions on it, it's 7" wide. hopefully i can fit it before the axle and have it clear the driveshaft. if so i think i just found my next muffler. it's light weight AND it sounds good.

Yes I have had an outlaw race flowmaster and a dynomax bullet before this.

What 4" single in, dual out do you guys recommend for a 4" mufflex, dual exit, into dual 3" CME tips? I don't want to sacrifice any power, and the volume **** being at 10 and broken off is fine with me.

Thanks guys. (Not trying to hijack, just want to ask people that have experience with the 4" system.)

If Magnaflow sells one I'd get it. I love MF's sounds and it is a straight through design.

Just a heads up, I am putting my mufflex with magnaflow , single outlet on tonight. Just painted it black so you cant set it under there, except for the shiny muffler.

Ill post how i like it.

So you did go with the Mufflex/Magnaflow, excellent choice. One of the best things I did was paint it, it looks great.

I'd be way interested to hear that. I have the 4" single with the Spintech now and kind of want something quieter. I have TSP 1 7/8 longtubes, 3" cats with a 3" to 4" Flowmaster merge collector and it's a touch loud inside the car. Sadly though, I was told it was one of the quieter cars at the track this night?

I'll be honest with you; the first time I started up my car in the Mufflex parking lot I thought it was too quiet. But that's coming from straight pipes, now I don't know if I can live without this exhaust hah. I have a small cam but it's still audible and the larger diameter piping helps with the tone.

It's kind of hard to hear your car in the video but I've heard that setup before and like it a lot. 'Loud' usually doesn't have much of a tone, it's just, well, loud haha.

Well, from all the research I did last night, it would appear that Spintech is the only company that makes a 4" single-in, 3" dual-out. I know it will be loud, and that's fine. I just want flow to be the max, without a cutout. I'm afraid the CME itself may be the choke-point, but that's why I was thinking DUAL 3".

Maybe I need a few 3" bullets before the CME and run a splitter after the 4" over axle like a LM setup? Always wondered what a flowmaster merge would do run in "reverse" to form the split.

Bump for the knowledge gods to chime in and show me the light.

Magnaflow does make a 4" inlet/ 3" dual outlet muffler(pt#12594), but both of the 3" outlets are on the same end of the muffler.
