Default Edelbrock Pro-Flow intake

I know is a lot of threads about it but in none of them i founded any specific comparison of the proflow intake with fast 90 , bbk or ls6.
Now almost 2 1/2 years after it is in the market, here is more updated information of the intake in the real world scenario like 1/4 and dyno results?

I'm considering of use one of these in my Lq9, 799 ported, MS3,bolts on,th400 with t/brake on a 4k stall and 4.10 in the back.

I have been looking at buying this intake and have found very little info. This thing has been around sense 2009 and no body has any results on it. I found this from 2009 and nothing recent.

Ls2 7140 pro flo xt dyno results

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the dynojet #'s from my model 7140--black XT purchased from Richard @ WCCH.Installed on a 2005 LS2 SSR,replaceing the 90mm truck style stock intake.Truck has heads, cam, headers,& replaced stock 29# injectors with new 36# ls1 style injectors & only tuned for new injtr's.The gain is 39.6rwhp & 12rwt with absolutely no torque or hp loss @ lower rpm range, also hp--tq #'s didn't fall off @ 5700rpm like old manifold but extended all the way to rev limit @ 6500!!! This Freekin Intake is--- THE KIND-----PERIOD----NO **** ----If you can fit one--Get One!!!

Only thing I can figure out is this intake must not do much if anything. I would think if it really adds the power gains as advertised the vendors on this and other LS sites would be trying to sell it!! I would like to install one one my car because I think they look bad *** but I am not sure it is $700.00 bad ***.

I think the lack of interest in it (at least here on LS1tech.com) is it's height. It greatly limits what it'll fit into.

I'm wondering if the Holley Hi-Ram is gonna also make good numbers and fit more applications.

Hello Paul Bell, that Holley looks good. You have any idea on the price range and some more info. about it. Any part number?
Today i took out all my AC and wiper stuff as part of the diet. So i'm ready to cut my fire wall to make room for any intake!
I like that Pro Flow and if i not find any info. of it in naturally aspired or nitrous motors i going to take my chance and see what i can find and report m results !

It looks pretty cool. Interchangeable tops. 4150 dual quad. 4500 dual quad. 92 or 102 mm EFI tops. Blank make your own tops.

For LS3/L92 heads.

You're quite correct, Fast. Those heads will not fit the smaller bore LS1/LS6 blocks. However, they will fit a LS2 block as they have a 4 inch bore and can accommodate the LS3/L92 heads.

Perhaps, if Holley sees a market for it, they'll make a base section for LS1/LS6 cathedral port heads.
