a cam to feed those 243's. what do you have planned for this car? hp goals?

in addition to the cam you will need pushrods, ls2 timing set, and valve springs. since you have ls6 valves that are lightweight i would try to keep your valvetrain weight down and go with a good single beehive. PAC 1518's are what i'm using for my build. and titanium retainers would also be a good idea. you could go with duals if you want a really aggressive grind. it really just depends on your application.

if you have the extra coin to spare i would take a look at the FAST 102. or maybe if you get lucky a used 90 or 92 for a little less.

the next step after this would be head porting and milling. or if you have room in your budget AFR or trickflow heads and have them worked over to your specs.

have you given thought to supporting mods? like clutch, clutch hydraulics, half shafts, rear diff brace, injectors, tuning etc?

5K, and 450hp..Here is my suggestion, save more. Finish off you exhaust, save some money, and buy an A&A Vortech Supercharger Kit, or a radical Heads, Cam, and Intake setup.

haha ok i can do 450-460 for around 5k parts + labor.

cam: i would suggest the EPS 234/246 .602/.607 111 LSA it's a pretty big *** whoopin type of cam $400

pushrods: tfs chromoly $110

PRC dual valve spring kit: with springs, ti retainers, spring seats, and valve seals. $290

LS2 timing set: $100

labor depends on the shop but usually cam installs range around 1800-2200 depends on the parts used and what they charge by the hour.

with the 2800 left over i would do:

fast intake and tb: $1175

tick adj master cylinder: $280

slave cyl. and to bearing: $170

tick speed bleeder: $50

diamond stage 2 clutch(or equal): $410(basic kit)

these parts plus labor would put you just over 5k, but IMO are worth the money. your stock corvette clutch and hydraulics are going to fall short when it comes time to whoop ***. the FAST intake could wait untill a rainy day, but you probably wont reach your 450+ hp goal w/o it. you would still have a stout corvette w/ ls6 intake but you'd be looking at around 430-440 rwhp.

if you have any questions let me know. if you want links to websites i can point you in the right direction.

I would definitely start with the cam and supporting mods. Check out the sponsors, they have some great deals.
