Lightbulb What do you think of my idea using bbk headers/y pipe?

Just bear with me cause this is hard to explain...

I originally wanted pacesetters and tsp td's with sweet thunders but the price tag on those tap out at almost a grand. So it donned on me, what if I bought a set of the bbk's since they come with the y pipe. Then, order a universal 2.5" x pipe from summit where I could use the x itself and the pipe from there back. Then order the mufflers of choice, mine are powersticks and just use the y pipe as the basis of the x pipe? What do you guys think? Worth it or just stick to the original plan?

Bbk's = $369 for chrome
X pipe =$100
Powersticks =$150

Total =$619

I say go for the bbks and I would be interested in where you get the chrome setup for $350? Cause the coated ones are $100 more...

Sorry, I wrote out the wrong price. I'll fix it. Looked at the numbers too quick. And ws6store has the chrome headers for $369.00

Anyone else have a better idea, or maybe a suggestion to my idea?

I bought the tsp oryp and cut off the y and welded in a "JONES" brand x and run dynomax 18 in bullets with turndowns right off the x. The x looks like the magnaflow one but the pipes have about 1/2in gap between them and the overall x is about 10in long, alot more compact the the magnaflow one. BTW it was built just like the Magnaflow x pipe ( verry good quality). It sounded AWESOME at wot and everywhere else too. After all that I got tired of the sound and installed a custom y pipe with hooker catback again.

If you drive the car everyday you are gonna love it for a few weeks then want a catback setup or at least something that exits the rear of the car.

Na, I DD a heads, cam lt1 that had pacesetters, custom x pipe, and powersticks dumped at the axel for almost 2 years. Loved it every time i sat in it.

Doesn't seem like too bad of an idea. Unless you can find a used set of headers and just not worry about cutting up a y-pipe. Of course you might be able to get a few dollars for the bbk merge if it is cut cleanly.
