A few hp for sound quality...that's up to you...
You risk just not liking the sound/tone of a new catback which in turn can cost you more$ to get it right....but...you'll get that few extra hp...
So either way....If you have the money why not?? you can alway's put the flowmaster back on

FYI the sound is going to change some, and it'll be louder, so go w/E-cut-out,or pull the FM muffler and tail pipes and put in a magnaflow bullet w/turndown.

edit: a friend of mine had the texas speed rumbler catback on his cammed camaro. sounded great at idle, but anything above that was nothing but rasp.

I was running a magnaflow cat back. Decided to try something different. I took off the muffler and tips, put a flowmaster super 44 3" in and out on the over-the-axle pipe, and ran a tailpipe so it dumps out behind the driver's side tire out of sight.
It sounds mean. Not too loud, but very deep. Doesn't seem to be any rasp with the catted y pipe and flowmaster merge. Now after the cam it sounds even better.
