got my texas speed y pipe

got my texas speed y pipe ok it came in 4 pieces, the actual Y, one sharp cornered piece, one not as sharp corner piece, and a little almost striaight piece, trying to piece this thing together the right way, pics or an explanation???
also the single side part of the "y" is only 2 3/4", why is that? i thought it was a 3" pipe.

thats how i had it, thanks for the pics. thats all i have is a bullet also, so i have to cut that little part off, thats retarded, its supposed to be a 3" y pipe.
Take your time while getting it set up and adjusted cause it can be a pain. I have done several without problems and just put another on mine last thursday and it wouldn't fit without heating and bending. I don't know if it was jacked up in shipping or if the guy that builds them thinks he's done so many that he can eyeball the bends now or what, but either way mine was right at 13/16" off on the passenger side. I've had a couple that I could push together good enough til I could get a clamp on it, but this one wasn't gonna let me do it. Other than that it matches up good now. I also cut the end of Y to put the 3" pipe on then into a cutout and connected my catback.

I marked a line on each piece to keep track of what 'fully inserted' was, and labeled each individual piece for position, then put one piece on at a time once the headers were on. I have the same ORY. I don't know if it would have been easier to assemble it all then put it on but that's what worked for me

I have the same Y. It definitely takes some time and effort to get it all lined up properly. I hate how it came in so many pieces, I was like WTF? A lot of people have complaints about the fitment of the newer style TSP Y. Yes the merge is good and it's 3" piping, but it's really just a pain to install. And that piece on the end of the merge is smaller so it slips into the catback, although to get it to fit an inch or two needs to be trimmed off.
My best advice is to take your time, and try to be patient, as you WILL get frustrated. Leave everything loose until you have it completely lined up (As in don't completely tighten down the headers or catback until you have everything perfect).

Great advice, it'd be near impossible to get everything tucked up and in place without leaving things loose. First I had no idea how it would stay in place even after tightened since the crossmember won't fit anymore. But I torque'd the crap out of the clamps and my Y pipe is rock solid in place, doesn't bang at all and there's maybe 1/8th of an inch between it and my torque arm
