Header install on 99 Camaro SS
Dan

I got the car up high and took off the oil filter and Both slid in from the bottom I have kooks though so your install maybe a little different.
Good luck! Its REALLY easy getting the old stuff off just soak all the exaust bolts down with wd40 first. I didn't even remove the coil packs or spark plugs (well I did remove two spark plugs on the drivers side)

Having a buddy to help is very important, as is taking your time. Here's a couple of quick notes from my install:
The back coil pack bolts are a pain. I left the last drivers side one on and tilted the coil pack up out of the way. The last on one passengers side takes patience to get out, and I didn't even bother putting it back in. The factory bolts have locktite on them, so they will have some resistance coming out. Take them slow until you get a good feel for them to be sure you don't strip them. I reused my stock header bolts, but cleaned them off with a wire brush and used a little antiseize on them. If you have compressed air you should be sure to blow out the bolt holes in the heads. Some clean up the threads with a tap, but I did not. Torque the bolts in two passes (11 and 18 ft-lbs) from the center out. The last passenger side bolt and spark plug are easier to get from the bottom (easy to reach with the stock cats off). The bolts holding the cats to the manifold are VERY tight.
That might have been a little rambling, but I hope there's some stuff in there to help.
