I wish like hell they were already on.. I wanted to go to the track Friday for test n tune but the guy I was going to have help me keeps having stuff come up.. I dont want to tackle it alone cause I know I will just get mad and when I do that I end up screwing stuff up. If it werent for the motor mounts they would have been in a LONG time ago.. I am off this weekend and finally found a guy to help here at work but the girlfriend doesnt like it cause I only get one weekend a month off... Thinking I should sell them since I cant get them installed..

Ok, guys.. finally done.. The motors mounts are every bit as big of a PITA as everyone on here has said they are. I must admit that with access to the tools we have it was alot easier than doing it in your garage. With me and Bobby (bt95formula) both working it I'd say the motor mounts alone were done in 5 hours. I DID NOT remove the compressor, or alternator. I only removed the starter. I actually unbolted the 4 bolts holding the mount to the block and the 4 holding the perch to the K member and took them out and a whole peice. I reinstalled the same way and with our adjustable tranny jack realigning the holes wasnt bad at all. I also did the tranny mount but its super simple.. I can officially report that for ME, maybe not everyone, the headers literally slid right up and we started bolting them down. I have included a ton of pictures in my photobucket so you can see clearances everywhere but the ONLY spot that is questionable is on the drivers side one of the primaries clears the K member by a fraction of a milimeter, its super close but I did not have the grind anything or dent anything and maybe it was because of the motor mounts. The collector clears the floor board on both side nicely and the exhaust shop had no trouble buttoning up my Y-pipe (unknown brand). If you have any questions please let me know but my official finding is that Ebay headers ROCK

very nice. did you have to use an 02 extension? did you use the the gaskets that came with it or re-use your stock ones?

Wasn't hard at all, 4 wires on each sensor. I cut the wires close to the pig tale and added 4 pieces the length I needed. Hit each joint with a little solder and eclectic taped the whole length of the new wires

Not the best idea. O2's are very sensitive to voltage I mean they operate in the millivolt range come on. By splicing the harness you are creating resistance in the wire and it may throw off the reading plus if they get any water in them you can get codes and it will cause the car to run poorly. Search it up on here and you will see many problems caused by this.
Also chances are that if those were the original o2's in the car they probably need to be replaced anyway they usually on have a life span of 60,000 miles stock and even less with lt's. O2's switch slower as they get old and being further from the engine with the lt's causes them to operate even colder this is another reason why new o2's are recommended. Get new sensors theyre cheap insurance, you can get the denso ones for the post cats of and 02 vette ($35 bucks each) and they will have the longer extensions already on them for your headers, or you can repin the pcm to use the rear harness fro the front o2 sensors or finally you can just get new camaro sensors and buy extensions (not the most economical idea).

Make sure your MSD wires are completely off the headers as those sucker will melt right through. Had that happen to a wire even though it was barely touching and it was right where the gray boot meets the red wire section so even that part can melt. Those stock metal shields work wonders with LTs.

I drove it through the weekend and so far I have no issues with the O2 sensors but if they throw a code I will get the extensions for them, no biggy. I am however having a vibration issue something awful. It's at higher speeds it seems like 40+. I am getting used to the different sound but it almost seems to me like the car might be missing at higher rpm's which is causing the vibration... not sure.. It could also be the driveshaft.. My only thought is that if it’s the driveshaft I couldn’t feel it with the rubber mounts but now that all the mounts are Poly it comes through the car a lot worse. No leaks are anything yet though which I am thrilled about I have one wire I am worried about because it has about a millimeter between it and the header.. Fb0dy0nly, can I simply take the shields off the manifolds and bolt them on??? I normally wouldn’t ask a questions like that as I would just look to see but I threw them in storage after the install so I don’t have them to look at right now

I just liked this picture so I attached it lol

I just heard my first sign of a problem running over to the bank.. It just did it for a second and my only guess is that the picture below could be the problem. We looked at it alot before we finished the job and decided to try just leaving it alone but it is super close.. I think I will have the do a little grinding though.. This is the drivers side btw

I had tons of vibrations until I was tuned but mine where low speed vibrations. However I never needed to grind or do anything to make them fit with out rubbing
