Bout time this has been stickied..
!! I would like to add that anyone who has done this...WRITE IT DOWN!! Don't forget that this was done to the car because if you ever sell it, and the new owner has to swap everything out to pass stupid emissions tests, they will NEVER figure out what the hell is wrong with their car. Believe it or not, I just came across this very problem a few weeks ago.

If you are going to do this mod and leave the original front sensor plugs empty (no sensors attached), and are going to run with no cats, you'll need to have these codes deleted:
P0137 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0138 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0140 HO2S Circuit Insufficiency Activity Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0141 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0157 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0158 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0160 HO2S Circuit Insufficiency Activity Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0161 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 1
P0430 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2
The P0420/P0430 are for the front sensors (now using the rear plugs) not reporting an error due to no cats. All the other codes are related to not having rear sensors plugged in since your front plugs have now become your rear plugs and you likely are leaving them empty rather than having sensors dangle from them.

Just installed headers and did this mod. Excellent write up and BIG thanks. I feel like I owe someone some money. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I will add one thing. When removing the pins, slip small screwdriver under the hook, then tip the pin back, this will immediately release the wire and therefor won't require any "tugging" on the wire.

How is everyone doing with this mod? Six years later and my car has no issues or problems what-so-ever.
I'm currently working on this write-up so it will be published on racingjunk.com's "How To" page.
Much thanks for everyone who's given me credit and feedback. I'm glad this mod has benefited a lot of people.
If it wasn't for the overwhelming response on here, I would have never changed careers and became a writer. I'm currently a freelance writer for racingjunk.com and pursuing a bachelor's in English/Creative Writing.

Nice man! Glad to hear it. I just recently bought an LS1 after a long hiatus. Came back to this thread to swap the pins again.
Wouldn't it be nice if HPTuners would let you swap pin assignments in their software? Maybe they do now, I'm just starting to poke around 3.4.

I’ve really tried to compare this to my situation but may need someone to help.
LT. Rear o2 are tuned out by Frost.
Front o2 holes are plugged.
Looks like rear o2 sensor plugged into front o2 port. So that if could reach to rear plug in LT.
why does this seem odd compared to everyone else’s
