Here is what I would do, I would find a tuner that you plan on using in the future. You can say that you won't need one but we all know that you will add more parts int eh future and need tuned.

Others are going to have to chime in on that one. I just moved here from NC in Nov. I have been doing my own tuning since I moved.

How expensive would it be for me to get my own tuner and tune things out myself?

http://www.hptuners.com/order.php

The standard is $499. I have the pro so I can log without the computer hooked up at the track.

EFILive is more expensive than HPTuners

since were talking about egr and air delete here, i have a question. would deleting the air and not tuning it out cause a misfire? and is there anything else that needs to be plugged besides the headers?

if you are worried about passing emissions, i wouldn't mess with it. i also live in indiana, but no testing of any sort is done down here. you being so close to the region must have something to do with that.

i made my own block off plates using the old flanges and 2 pennies. so ya, my block offs literally set me back 2 cents and the time it took to cut the flanges off the old hoses. they've been on there for 3 years, they appear to be holding up well.

its a lot cheaper to just buy the egr plugs, as appose to spending 300ish on a new manifold. but if you got the money then do it!

how do you remove the diverter valve the AIR hoses go to? It is mounted to a plate which is bolted to the back of the drivers head.
