Default Oilpan and Dipstick questions

Does anybody know which oil pans have the dipstick mounted in the pan instead of i the block? My swap requires a dipstick in the pan, and I can't find many that fit that criteria. Help? Thanks!

Have you checked the Conversion & Hybrid section? Look under their LSX oil pan sticky thread.

I have, but it doesn't specify if any of those pans have dipsticks in the pan or not.

how about blocking the hole in the block, and drilling and welding a fitting to any pan you want? then just cut the dipstick tube accordingly to the length you need(put the fittign an inch lower, cut the tube up top by an inch.

I have no hole in the block - thats the point. I need a pan that has a dipstick tube integrated. I'm not sure I want to custom-build that, oil level's pretty important and the factory measured well. I'm not very good at fab to trust myself to do that.

Custom block or does it have the boss and a knock-out installed?
