Will this setup be as good as 3" duals power wise? It sounds awesome imo.

Close. True dual 3" might sound better. Nothing beats an X for sound, IMO.
There's the added resistance and friction of running 2 pipes vs. one. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm told 1-4" pipe will possibly flow more than 2-3" pipes due to the additional drag on the increased surface area. Then there's the added weight.
