Katech Pulley Tensioner Is anyone running the LS1 OR LS6 Adjustable Tensioner by Katech?
How do you like it and why did you buy it?
I am considering getting one but am not sure I need it.
I have a Z06 with FLPs (no cats),Borla Catback ,ASP Pulley,Halltech Intake,TR 227/224 Cam Kit, MSD Wires and NGK Iridium Plugs.
Do I need it?

I just ordered mine about an hour ago... ordered it cause I've been throwing belts (not fun when you're on a major expressway at night w/cars whizzing past at 70mph and you're trying to put the belt back on)
My problem may be because my p/s pulley is chipped ... but figured it's cheap insurance to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Plus I guess the katech one is adjustable whereas the stock one is spring loaded (so if the springs worn at all on the stock one it won't hold the belt as tight and it can pop off)

I ran one on my 2000SS and I will be running another on my new 69 LS1 project..
Reasons..
1. No chance of tensioner squeek..
2. Will never wear out
3. Can set belt tension where I want it
4. Less likely to throw a belt at high RPM's
5. Just plain looks NICE
Seemed like a good bang for the buck..
