Well I finally got every thing installed, but the Moroso Spiral Flow (3.5" in/out)is killing me with the drone from about 1400-2000 rpm so it will most likely will be replaced soon with a Borla XR-1 #40086(15" case length). So here's some photos.

How loud is that dumped single exhaust? My '98 currently has duals with on ORX and dynomax bullits.... Just a lil too loud for a DD. I was planning on going with a catback and an electric cutout, but this seems like another possibility.

For it being on a H/C/I car with a ORY-pipe it's not that loud at idle, or just cruising around, at least on my previous "dumped" exhaust. That was with a magnaflow 3" in/out, 5" diameter case muffler. Currently with the Moroso Spiral flow it's ungodly loud under 2k, but Monday I'll be swapping out the Spiral flow for a Borla XR-1 muffler.
I would of stuck with a Magnaflow bullet muffler with this new set-up, but they don't offer a 3.5" in/out 5" diameter case muffler, so I thought I'd try a Spiral flow since I've heard good things about them. I'll repost early this next week about the Borla XR-1 muffler.

Here's the XR-1

99bluz28, I was wondering if you have some videos of the sound of your exhaust with the borla on there.

I want to get some tsp headers then do my own y pipe here soon, and have been looking at getting the vibrant with a 3in to a 4 out. Try to take it about 10 inches out the back to let the gases stablize and then reduce back down for my lm1...see how much rasp it reduces. If anything the borla was my fall back, but figured I already have the lm1 so why not try it.

Another question I had was do you know the angles of the y pipe, I want to get it figured out, or a close guestumation before I go to summit to pick some pipes up.

thanks

Sorry, I never did get around to making a sound clip with just the Borla XR1 dumped, and anyway Borla doesn't even have a 5" diameter 4" in/out bullet muffler you could run. As far as the angle of the mandrel bends you could contact TSP or start a new thread asking, "What degree are the pipe bends that go into the new TSP y-merger?". I could guess from looking at a photo, but then you won't really know for sure if it's the correct degree of bends. IMO, It looks to me like you'll need two, 45*bends.

Why did you go from 3" to 2.5 to 3" again?
