EGR deletion

I am doing a LS1 to LS6 intake swap and Im going to block off the EGR ports as well as remove the EGR pump. My question is can you remove the code 27 emission code with out flashing your computer? Thanks

I believe there is no way to get around flash of the computer for deletion of the EGR.
