Default header install on 01 trans am with iron block

Ok im getting ready to install headers on an 01 trans am, it has an iron block in it. I noticed on a few installs other people sawed off the tab on the side of the ls1 blocks. Will this cause a problem since i have an iron 5.3 block in my car???

Depending on the headers you have, you may not have to saw it off. I didnt have to with pacesetters, but to answer your question, it wont hurt a thing.

Depends on the headers, you might not find out till you get to that point...
