I forgot where I read this, but it made it so much easier for me.

Buy new wires. The originals are going to break.

Remove the A.I.R. tube going to the passenger manifold.
Remove the right side coil pack.

I was able to get to the drivers side plugs without removing anything.

Don't forget to put a dab of anti-seize on every plug, so you won't have any problems when you have to remove them.

Also when reinstalling the right side coil pack just leave the rear mount bolt out, it won't cause any rattle or vibrate, so you'll never miss it.

rocndave is right, pulling the right side coil pack removed makes it worlds easier.

The PCM harness is retained by a body clip right above the coil packs. You'll need to undo it then the wiring harness can be moved out of the way. Pop all the plug wires off the coils then the main harness plug in the center. A deep 10mm socket will undo the five bolts.

Before you put the coil packs back, get the spark plug wires on the spark plugs. This way you won't have to get down to the #8 plug.

I don't know why you'd need the SLP socket-especially without headers. Any socket should do.

I have a long (four inch) MAC socket with a knurled end and can be driven by a 3/8 drive or 5/8 wrench. It does everything.

OH YEAH, when you put the coil pack to valve cover bolts back in, don't go too tight. They strip easy.
