Is there any difference between the bellhousing of a 2001 camaro ls1 and a 2002 corvette ls1?
The reason i ask is because i have a GM brand new 2002 corvette transmission bellhousing and it is ALOT smaller than the engine bellhousing of a 2002 5.3L truck engine that i have.
I am assuming the engine block bellhousings are the same on LS1, LM7(5.3l) and the 6.0L.
Anyone have any insight to all this?

The F-body bell is nothing at all like a Y-body bell. The Y car's transmission is in the rear axle and connects to the bell with a torque tube, while the F car's trans bolts directly to the bell. No way they'll come close to interchanging. Is this strictly a 5th gen deal....because my 4th gen Vette the transmission is bolted directly to engine block....and in my car in the rearend is....THE REAREND.
