Na man no disrepsect felt. Ill consider the offer..prolly just end up bumping the idle 150 rpms getting the overdrive pulley and only gaining a half a tenth instead of the .1 to .15 that everyone else normally sees from it. I definently think about the offer though man. I only got the pulley,new lid, and tuning to bust a 01 lightning i had a grudge match with for him to bitch out and sell his **** .

Question ???

Just the underdrive crank pulley can give you charge problems...how? or is this only on the A4's? i thought in order to get charge problems you needed to get both pulleys? i was going to get the ASP underdrive crank pulley but i am starting to reconsider after reading some of these posts. I have a M6 would i have any problems with just a crank pulley?

I am going out on a limb here, but it is my understanding that the crank pulley slows everything down by going to a smaller diameter. Then (especially for automatic cars) you can also get the alt pulley which is also smaller in diameter which will actually speed the altenator back up to close to original speed. I can remember in the old days, we used to put large deep groove pulleys on the altenator, to slow it down and prevent thrown belts on 7500-8000 rpm motors.

Exactly man. The overdrive alt pulley im going to order will speed my alt back up and hopefully cure my charging issues on my a4 at idle.

The underdrive pulley makes all the accesories run slower in idle so sitting at a red light with the lights on my volts drop to about 11.5-12. Is this were yours go uLoSeAgAin?

My usually sit at like 13 or so without the ac on or lights at night. When I throw on the ac or the lights it will drop to 8 volts at a sto light! If I have on both **** it will drop to like 6 if I am in alot of stop and go traffic and cant let the battery charge up a tad. Going to order the order drive alt pulley in bout 15 minutes and pray to god it fixes the problem! Ive been having to kinda stage my car up slightly at lights at night when I have the lights and stuff on just barely touching the gas with the brake up raises the volts back up.

No. Only disadvantage is if charging is low ALL the time your battery won't charge all the time. If it's normal when your driving you have nothing to worry about. I have them on all my cars except for my LS1 and love them.
