Default Go with the ASP pulley?

I've heard a lot of talk about this pulley mod. I've also heard that one can shave 0.2 to 0.3 tenths off their 1/8 times. Are these statements really valid?...I mean it sounds almost too good to be true

Let me know if you guys think its worth installing...Thanks all

I'm interested in getting the pulley as well. It is the last bolt-on that I need for my car. I heard that you won't see great reults on the dyno, but rather the track. Any other useful information would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait to get one.

Red is right it should give you around 10rwhp and around .1 (maybe a tad more) on the 1/8 mile. Get it, its worth the money I think.

Ive always heard its worth about .1 in the 1/4 mile.. I think its a very good mod, especially with the newer designed ASP units.

How should I determine which pulleys to go with? Should I go with both the crank and alternator pulleys or just the crank pulley alone? I think I'm gonna buy this pulley mod, but just need to decide which setup to go with.

I checked with www.summitracing.com

They got the one pulley kit for $189 #ASP948500

The 2 pulley kit for $206 #ASP948584

I would love to do this mod, but not quite sure how to install it.

I heard about 8-10RWHP with the one pulley on the dyno

and

about 12-15RWHP dyno with the 2 pulley(the one I would get)

Anyone else heard this about improper charge at idle for A4's? A friend used to have a 95 LT1 A4 and everytime he washed his car he would play music...and everytime he would call me to come jump him. He had the March pulleys though...I would assume the similar outcome with ASP. Bottom line is that I want my car to and not

I got the crank pulley for my car about 2 or 3 months ago and I dont even have an aftermarket system or anything and it will drop my volt gauge to 8 volts instantly at a stop light at night the the headlights on! Im going to have to order a overdrive alternator pulley to fix the problem everyone said..dropped my idle bout 150rpms also...chalk up another $70 for the other freakin pulley I have to get to pretty much cancel the performance gains of the one I have now.

I'm curious what your car idled at before the crank pulley? My car idles at 750 right now & I'm wondering if dropping 150 rpm would be enough for the alternator to still do it's job at 600 rpm's. Fred

Man my use to be right there with you about 750...after that damn pulley it dropped to 500 flat! Im dislpeased to say the least with the side effects of the pulley since I dont have any aftermarket stero equpitment yet. Im going to order the over drive alt pulley and maybe get a new battery and hope that will keep up my voltage runnin 500 watts in a type r sub when I get it next week.
