Alternator Problems
Alternator Problems Ok, with my wife's 98z28, we had my previous motor placed in her car. The motor's an LS-6 crate motor (with 28k) on it and I had no problems with it when it was in my car, ran a 150 shot of nos through it with no alternator problems. The motor's been in her car for 2 yrs now, but within the last year, we've been through 6 alternators. The last one didn't last a day. From merging onto the interstate, i got on the gas and kept it there til about 120 mph. 2 minutes after that, the charging light came on again!!! All the grounds we can see have been checked. What else would you guru's suggest? Thanks for your help!!
