swapping from ybody to fbody throttlebody etc. I have a 99 vette motor that im doing a swap and running all ybody accessory drives but I am gonna swap from the drive-by wire throttle body to the fbody cable throttle body. So my question is: If I run the cable throttle body will I have to run a fbody MAF as well? Are the sensors in the throttlebody as the same ones in the vette ybody throttle body or do the sensors read different once installed? And to the plugs from the ybody engine harness match up to the fbody throttlebody? Thanks! I just want to make sure I buy the right MAF sensor so I wont have any problems. As of right now I dont have one, so any help would be apprieciated!
I'm doing a ls1 swap and I'm going with the drive by wire.I have the cable throttle body on the intake now.I have a drive by wire tb being shipped to me.When I get it I'll look to see if they are the same.Don't know if they read the same though once installed.Try looking up the part numbers and see if they match up.

Well if you hadn't already ordered your dbw setup I would offer to swap for yours... I have the dbw throttlebody, pedal assembly,control module and connecting harness. But like you say I don't know what would work correctly. But if you wanna just sell your oem cable throttle body just let me know. Thanks.

I had planned on running the dbw complete assembly in my s14 240sx swap, but it would be much easier to just run the cable throttle body to my factory pedal assembly, rather than custom mount my dbw pedal. Even though I had my engine harness rewired to accept it. I'm just gonna have to override that when I program it.

I think I paid $250 for the pedal,module and connecting harness. The electric throttle body was already on the motor. But all I have to sell is the pedal assembly,electric throttle body and the TAC module. I sent my harness to get modified for my car and they may have wired it in with my engine harness, but im not sure? They may have just electric taped it in with all the other harnesses? So what were you wanting to do for working out a deal??
