SLP or FLP LT Headers

Running FLPs on my car and they're awesome... fit was great (only thing I had to change was I had to grind down the oil pan drainage bolt head a little and cut off the magnet part of the bolt in order to make oil changes easier ) I have a set on my car.
They work great. The only problem with SLP headers is that they hang a little low, but I have never scrapped mine so they can't be that bad (my car is not lowered). They make good power and are a complete kit. I had no problems with the install and got them for $850 (new) shipped a few months ago on a special vendor deal.
I chose SLP's over FLP's because the SLP's had rear O2 bungs so I didn't have to use O2 sims behind the cats. SLP's also are SS headers AND ceramic coated. While the SLP's hang low, they do fit well and have no reported banging issues, no reported issues with melting your heater box, no reported issues with grinding your drain plug. They fit.
I think the FLP headers are good as they were the other set I considered buying, but I am very pleased with my SLP headers. I would buy them again.
Hope this helps.
Everyone has their favors. Get the best deal you can. Make your own mind up. Live with it.

SLP are not all that me no like but try to research on TTS headers they are great too for same price range.
The SLPs do have ground clearance issues. I was lowered about 1 3/4 inches and I had to bring it back up to a 1 inch drop. Even then you have to be careful. Othewise these are great headers.
Now, why did I sell mine? I want to go to a stepped header, while the coating was not rusting it did turn dull near the head and I want to show my car. I don't want emission fittings - now SLP has race only headers.
I have not gotten new headers yet. I am still on the fence about some of them. I like the FLP setup. But I don't want emissions and they have floor board and oil drain plug issues. You won't have any of those with the SLPs. Yet, if I had to worry about emission testing I would consider the FLP for easy swapping of CATS. Or put cutouts before the cats.
From looking at the FLPs it looks like they may be removed easily from the collector back. That is important to me since I have this bad disease of tearing my car apart all the time.
Banging the floor board and having to pry the header back to change the oil would keep me from the FLP. So, for now my list is still SLP, Kooks, and maybe Edelbrocks (these would have to be coated since they are painted black). I am still waiting on dyno numbers for the Edelbrock race headers. The guys that have them on this board have still not posted results.
In the end I expect to go with Kooks unless SLP got there prototype headers they used on their 427 to market.
Hope this helps.
