Mufflex 4" Spintec and single 4" out. It's tight with a BMR panhard, but I and others love the sound!

is it just bmr bar or is it a relocator bar? and for those of you that whent with the 4" have you notice any gain in hp over the 3" i am guessing you had before the change, i have a 3" loudmouth now with a resonator freeflow(was getting lowder, cut it open and the insulating packing was burning-up inside the first half) and last month put a cherrybomb 3" 36"long on it with hundreds of fines inside to catch the sound but also restrics air flow, after a week i burnt all the paint down to the metal of the first half and felt a huge lost in power. took it off. i did have close to 500rwhp with the 3" loudmouth(402, 236-242 cam and patriot heads stage3,headers and cats, fast 102 int,t/b,100mm maf. 104 lide etc...

up-date. i got the systeme on tonight, took about 3 hours, made my own hangers, didn't like what came with the kit and they send you some hose clamps for the tail-pipes???. took some tweeking but seems to fit good, verry tight around the floor and over the housing, that is with the stock panhard bar. quiet it down to a nice level with no lose in power, i like the sound. the only issue for me is for the price the quality of the tail pipes, looks like cheap 15$ tips . over all is impressive systeme to see under a camaro.

Which muffler are you running? Can you describe the sound at all?

muffler is spintech, impressive muffler, sound is hard to discribe, defenitly much quieter than my loundmouth at idle and acceleration, hard to have it both ways, some days i like it loud and other not, the probleme with my loudmouth is i had a bullet style muffler and i kept burning the inside packing then it would get louder.

I see a few different setups....

A Flowmaster race muff, magnaflow, and spintech. Which is the loudest? Best flow?

From what I've read the magnaflow 4 inch race muffler flows the best. There was a thread on here where someone switched from the flowmaster muffler to the magnaflow and picked up like 25-30wrhp. A couple other people did the same thing and had similar results. I will see if I can find the thread.

I bet it will smell still. Mine did just the same after it was tuned, so I installed cats.
