LS2 to LS1 head/cam question

LS2 to LS1 head/cam question my buddy has a H/C 06 ls1 gto that he ended up screwing the bottom end up, money is no problem for him so he went ahead and got a new motor. So I told him that id give him $500 for the old motor and he agreed, the bottom end is actually still in fairly good condition, rebuildable, so I have a brand new ls1 in my 99ta and i was interested in putting his heads on my ls1 but im not sure if it will work, thats my question, will it? and if his cam is in good condition ill use it too if it would work.

corrects its a ls2 in the gto, im sorry i messed up typing that. the previous owner put the heads on and apparently theyre really good heads. If i get my hands on them I will post pics to see what yall think
