Default Mangaflow tips

I installed a new Magnaflow exhaust. I'm very happy with the sound. Never loud, it has a nice growl when I get into it.

I never liked dual tips so I got the singles. They look terrible. They sit too deep under the bumper and don't match.

I have a set of three inch oval slash tips that I'd like to use. I called Magnafow and asked if they have plain (non-chromed) tail pipes in stainless.

The guy flatly said they don't sell tail pipes separately and the call was pretty much over. I must say I was very disappointed with this.

My question: Does anybody make tail pipes to replace mine in 3 inch stainless as just pipes without the larger chromed section?

Preformed tailpipes that extend to the bumper? Probably not. Why can't you cut yours, and weld some stainless pipe to extend them?

Thanks guys I know I can do those things.

I was hoping to find the pipes in the right size, shape, bend and material with the correct hangers on them.

My thinking was that somebody else knew a Magnaflow part number.

I just put that catback on my car with those tail pipes and they do not line up very well. It took lots of adjustment and what not to make them seem just okay.

I don't think it's a Magnaflow problem. It's just that the tails hold up the muffler and it's so hard to get just right & perfect. There's no way to really adjust one thing without it affecting another thing.

I know what you mean. My left tailpipe goes up and doesn't come out very far and my right one is perfect.

Mine are the opposite. and they both sit too far inwards, the right one more than the left.

As the tips are part of the pipes, there's no adjustment of the tips. One reason I want to put separate tips on the pipes.

As a tidbit, I was able to locate a catback here on the forums. Somebody wanted the muffler, and I wanted the tailpipes/tips, so the guy split it up for us. Gave about $120 and they were still wrapped in plastic. I thought that was a good deal. Maybe you could find something like that.

No, I installed the full cat-back system.

I don't want the muffler-back tailpipes/tips. I want muffler-back tail PIPES without the larger chromed sections.

Sounds like what you want will probally be custom made. Just research your local exhaust shop to find a good one.

When I bought my Magnaflow cb I got the quad tip figuring that a tip change in the future would be easier even though it was extra money. Also, I didn't care for the regular version at all so it HAD to be quad tip... Sure enough, I ended up buying other type of tips for the look I want. I feel the quad tip version gives you the flexibility to change tips easily just by unclamp/clamp- you pay for it though...
