wanting to do an LS6 intake..

just trying to see what I need to run an LS6 intake on my 98 LS1..

obviously..

LS6 Intake..
Intake gasket.. (new to LS1's.. are they re-usable?)

what else will I need for this swap.. will my TB and what not match up.. etc etc?

I'm having mine installed now, I got a new gasket with my intake. My 98 LS1 has an EGR but my intake will not so it will have to be tuned out.

do stock LS6 intakes come with egr holes? I would think so.. I think my egr was deleted (just got the car).

mine had a custom egr bypass kit. your stock TB will fit.

the place i bought it from sold it that way. it did what it was supposed to. bypass my EGR.

I was wondering because I've been told that because my LS6 intake has no hole for an EGR Pipe I would have to just block the hole in the exhaust manifold and then have a Tuner tune it out. First time I've heard of yours.

The gaskets are reusable(only reuse them if they are not flattened out) ,TB, fuel rails, and etc. are all reusable. Its a direct swap once you have the ribs cut away from the bottom of the ls6 intake or use ls6 coolant lines if you dont want to cut your intake.

LS6 intakes dont not come with egr hole like 01ssreda4 said unless you buy the slp one
