Default Fel-Pro or GM Exhaust Gaskets?

I've heard good things about both. Looking on Summit, GM ones are twice as much and sold individually, whereas Fel-Pro are $13 a pair. Is there much difference between the two?

I went with the Fel-Pro originally when I did my Pacesetters, took about 7500 miles before the passenger side blew out. Went with Hooker headers gaskets after that and haven't had any issues 13k later...just crossing my fingers that my driver side doesn't go out anytime soon. As big of a pain the headers are to take off, go with quality and spend the little extra cash to avoid any problems in the future

5K miles on a set of of these and so far so good.
new headers only came with one gasket so I needed a pair quick.
advance had them in stock for like 15 bucks for the pair.

I have re-used my GM gaskets, twice, never any leaks, just torque to spec and go.

If you have any trouble with gaskets. Use copper RTV. My buddies turbo fox would blow gaskets till he through some copper RTV on there. I doubt you'll need that though.

Another question: I was looking on WS6store and Texas Speed and they both have GM gaskets for reasoanble prices. When it says GM, are they saying it's GM Performance Parts, or just that they're gaskets for a GM motor?

Texas Speed

WS6store

I started the process of changing the old ones out today that came with my Pacesetters. Once I got the plug wires and STB out of there I could get a better look. They were blown out in three different places.

So you know, I'm pretty sure Felpro makes MLS gaskets. FelPro makes really nice stuff, just their graphite is their lower line. You outta take a look at what else they have to offer.
