Default Security light staying on

I'm not sure if this is the right section to be posting but anyway. So about a year ago I got the blinking security light and had it fixed at a local shop light went off ,but about 6 months ago my security light came on and has stayed on . I got the local lock smith to make me new keys but that didn't work. I have searched. And searched. And seems like no one has figured this out other than replacing the whole thing which I have done once not doing it again. I even had my car tuned when my longtubes were put on they could not tune it out for some reason. I havent tried the resistor thing yet but i heard that's only meant for people with the blinking light So they can start there car. Any help would be nice this damn light is driving me crazy!

Although I'm not a forum member, I did find some pretty good details for the '02 on the Camaro Forums. I asked about the year because there may be differences form year to year.
