Car going dead and recently not running well????

Car going dead and recently not running well???? So for a while now my car will just go dead i found out by unbolting my ecu and propping it back helps just still when I hit bumps and what not it will just shut down and usually come right back on. My gauges go wacky when this is happening. also i broke out the car to take it to the track yesterday and it was running pretty bad, throttle response was garbage and the acceleration was definitely lacking. Any suggestions?
Look at the wires for your crank sensor. I bet they are burned from the headers.
If not does the tach drop or start dropping when you hit bumps? Could be the crank sensor itself.
Start there, if that doesn't reveal anything check the ground wires on the back of the head.

okay i will take a look at that, but it is not only the tach that goes wacky it is all the gauges sometimes the car will completely die and ill have to go move around the ecu before it will start again
