BOOM TUBE install complete!

BOOM TUBE install complete! Finally got the thing in Saturday. I cant thank Doug enough for taking the time to do this install. He did an AMAZING job on this. The fitment is awesome! Nothing bangs the floor boards and I have a hair more ground clearence than I did with the FLP Y pipe. The outlet looks like it sticks out a long ways in the pictures for some reason but it is just about flush with the side of the car, maybe about an "1 actually sticks out.
The sound.........the sound is crazy! It has that stachatto bad *** chop to it that shakes everything around it. If a give the throttle a quick stab, this thing barks at you. As one of the NW guys said when he heard it:
When its under a full load it is ear shattering but in a beautiful way. THIS IS NOT A STREET FRIENDLY EXHAUST! It is LOUD, probably to load for most peoples taste. My street time is going to be VERY limited now.
It has definately freed up some power. I cant even roll into the throttle in second gear without the rear end wanting dance around on me.

Image station has changed you have to hotlink pictures and I havent figured out how to do it yet. The pictures are to large to use the "manage attachments" feature here.

I am trying to get ahold of my buddy that has a DAT recorder so I can get some sound clips. I did get a small clip of vid but I have no way to transfer it to the computer.

OMG!!! I'd imagine it sounds pretty good, but I wouldn't think the 1-2 HP increase you get would be worth the uglyness. It might look decent if it was tucked under the car out of sight. I'm sorry if I sound harsh, I am a firm believer in "To each his own". Just my .02

Awesome setup...seems like it took forever to complete from the beginning. Worth the wait I bet though. The scavenging affect with that must have picked up some torque throughout the power band. Do you have any dynos or plan on dynoing it?

we have a dyno day planned in april. Since the last dyno I have installed a moser "9, Meziere EWP and HS rocker arms. So I wont be able to give an accurate representaion of what this is worth. The SOTP meter is telling me the gain was pretty significant.

Still have to pull it off and give it a good coat of high temp paint and that will help with some of the aesthetics.
one of the guys on the board has boom tubes on his 97 and holy crap its awesome sounding, but what i dont get is he got stoped by a cop and he didnt get a ticket for illegal exhasut and u cant talk with it running, that was awesome haha
