Default Plugs and wires

So I finally got to put plugs and wires on my car last night, all in all it was fairly simple task thanks to reading up about it on here.
The hardest part was getting the last bolt out to take the passenger side coils off what A PITA. After that it was all down hill.
The car has 123k and it had the original plugs and delphi wires on it I'll post pictures of some of the plugs tomorrow,Man they WERE BAD!!

I guess I am posting to say thanks to everyone what a awesome site

I did a compression check too,all cylinders were 180-190.
Is the reddish color just from being in too long?

In all honesty the plugs were fairly simple.now getting that one bolt out of the coil bracket over number 8 was a pain.

you dont need to take the very last bolt out on pass side just pick up the coil packs and rotate towars intake unplugging the plug wires as you do it, this works great

The color you are referring to is probably just surface rust on the threads. I see you are from the midwest and all the weather changes we endure causes a lot of moisture/condensation issues. Nothing we can do about it, except use anti-seize on the threads. I have broke one off and had to drill and use an easy out to get it and it was the biggest PITA ever. Your first pic looks good, light tan color-getting good clean burn.

I just relooked and now I see what you are talking about with the reddish tip. That's a good question. I wonder if it has anything to do with burning ethanol blend in the car-I'm assuming in Indiana almost all fuels have at least 10% ethanol blend.

I thought the tan colored looked ok,but just wanted to verify.
As to the ethanol that could be i guess, not real sure?
