Well, it looks like I'll be ordering a set of long tubes. Now just to decide what brand.

Looking at ordering them now. Would Chrome or Ceramic be better? Now i'm trying to decide whether or not to add more suspension mods or to go ahead with the exhaust....

It's really up to you chrome will turn blue over time and may get small surface rust. Mine have a small amount of rust and blueing after 2 yrs but are in good shape overall. Ceramic will never blue but may eventually peel/rust I like the chrome for the money

Thats what I'm thinking for $379 it would be well worth it, even if you have to replace them every 4 or 5 years. I just have to find someone to tune the car afterwards.

Well, I just ordered the Chrome BBK longtubes and Y pipe. They should be here soon. For $398 dollars shipped, I don't think they can be beat. Now to just order the O2 extensions, gaskets, and to line up a day to get the car tuned. Is there anything else that I will need?

instead of extensions, I would get the longer vette o2 sensors. I would get a set of stainless header bolts, and a new set of plugs and wires too.

I would buy some poly engine mounts, you will probably get some banging of the ORY after the install if you dont get some stiffer mounts in there. When I installed my BBKs the ORY merge didnt want to connect to the stock catback so I drove the car to a muffler shop & had them fab me up a short piece of pipe to connect it. Thats something you may run into.

Motor mounts, plugs, and wires, will be a definite. Are the o2 extensions known not to work that great? Just curious about the vette o2 sensors. How big of a piece of pipe did you need? From what I have read most times it can be covered with a band clamp, but I just want to make sure.

My headers just shipped from a BBK location in Florida, and I just ordered all of the other things I need from WS6store. I wound up getting GM gaskets, plugs, wires, motor mounts, tranny mount, o2 extensions, stage 8 locking header bolts, and a 2.5" bump stop exhaust hanger they sell that stops the y pipe from ever hitting the floor board. I think that should be everything I need for the install.

You won't need the 2.5" bump stop exhaust hanger with poly motor mounts and the BBK headers.

Forget the magnaflow. Either get LT's, and keep stock exhaust, or go the cheaper route and get an electric cutout, and choose how loud you want to be, and when you want to be loud. That's what I would do.

It would be great if i don't wind up needing the bump stop. I can send it back and get my $40 bucks back. But I may go ahead and use it just to make sure everything fits as well as possible.

Well guys, the shipping was way faster than I expected from both companies. The headers are on track to be here tomorrow with all of the stuff from WS6 store following on Wednesday. I have an install/ tune appointment set up for Thursday so hopefully everything will be done by thursday evening.
