Default Header/Ypipe options

Ok, Ive put in my 4 hours a day searching for years, I have not been on here for a year or two but a few times thanks to a divorce and other issues. So I know the search issue might be brought up. My question.

I have a friend with a 2002 WS6 with low mileage and SLP catback. I have been out of the loop, so what is a good set of headers with off road y pipe in the less than 850 range, I talked him into exhaust and a cam kit, I think he is going with the Polluter. His car gets MAYBE 3K miles a year, wants it to sound tough and run fast the few times he drives it. Its lowered 2" so no duals and 6spd with 4.10's

Pacesetters were brought up, last I heard they were the cheapest of headers that were even worth installing. Still the case I guess?

Alot of folks have used the ebay headers which are less than 200 shipped. I just bought some this week and I will see how good they are shortly.

For less than 850 for both why not just go with TSPs 1 7/8s and ORY. Will outperform any other header minus ARH, Kooks or QTP

I love my pacesetters....dollar for dollar the best around. Get the TSP y pipe though, I am not entirely impressed with the pacesetter one...

This. ^

Is the TSP ORY worth swapping my Pacesetter ORY out for?

The crushed sections is a huge turnoff to me.

i would go TSP all around, i know there are better "bang for the buck" options out there, but, when you read the guys that have "been there done that" they always say STAINLESS and well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand why, longevity, TSP now has theirs in all stainless, and at a very nice price, and it would be about 650 (minus shipping and tax, so that's under your price point, with a lifetime product, however, there are a couple mixed messages about "fitment" my opinion is tho, if it went on good once, then it'll go on good again, so i figure the "fitment issues" (no offense) are from people putting them on "wrong" or not fine tuning their adjustment. again, no offense, i know everyone on here is the greatest mechanic in the world (including myself) but hey, just my .02

+1 for TSP
