Default What is this connector for???

I cannot for the life of me figure out what this connector is for. I have tried the searches and come up with nothing... see attached pics. 99 TA ls1 location is the rear of the motor on driver side.
thanks in advance

okay look, there is the oil pressure sending unit connector, and the sensor next to it. those are the only 2 sensors at the back of the intake, am guessing your white connector is for the coils harness. if so how did you manage to get the white connector that far back! heres another pic from ls1how tos. red arrows for the opsu and the other sensor and the circle is what you need i THINK..hope that helps

the white connector is for the A.I.R. system, looks like you have deleted it so it's not needed

it took me exactly less than 30 seconds to plug it in thanks to my tiny hands i suggest you look at some pictures to locate the way to it and then try feeling it but watch out its very fragile! you dont want to break it while the intake is on..good luck

depends how tight is the place..you need the oil pressure sending unit socket to remove it. i ordered it off ebay for like 4 or 5$ just take your time and watch out for the pcv hose, its very prone to breaking..

Tried to remove it without removing the intake. No go! There is something covering part of the opsu. I think it may be the valley cover? I have a wilson fast intake on there and no idea which valley cover but obviously it is not stock. I did not do any motor work to this so i really have no idea. I said screw it, dont want to remove the intake so i started the car and the broken opsu didnt leak oil so I drilled and tapped that thing above the oil filter, extended the one wire connctor and installed the opsu there above the filter. Works perfect and 70ish psi of oil pressure on the guage now WOOT WOOT!!!!!!

Might be a dud sender. When they go bad, they max out the gauge. Easy way to spot it is to flick the IGN on, engine off and see if the gauge moves

yea my gauge moves. its not a dud sensor. I had lots of pressure at first cold start of the new motor (70psi). Now that i have been driving it, My oil pressure is between 30 (hot slow idle) and 50 psi (cruising), and it is still at 60 psi for a minute after a cold start. Does this oil pressure seem good?

Your oil pressure is fine 10psi for every 1k rpm is the rule of thumb.

left one is your cam positioning sensor, right one is oil pressure sending unit..
and 10psi is not fine in a ls1. expect 40 at aidle, higher when you first start it as oil is cooler. and up to 65/75 at WOT.
