From working with intakes and lids on other vehicles, I really doubt the 17 rwhp increase, but it looks interesting. I wouldn't mind trying one out.

Out of curiosity, where are you even finding these lids still? I just did a quick google and e-bay search and got nothing. PPO still has a site, but their online catalog and online ordering don't seem to work. There's just a number to order over the phone.

^ Im pretty sure he said he found it online used.

And although I am sure this performs just as well as any other lid I doubt that if it had that much of an increase in performance that other companies would have made their lids their standard size. Because air is flowing through the engine there reaches a point where the intake is flowing at the max. rate and cannot flow any more. I mean if you think about it the K&N intake probable has more open area this this lid and that produces the same results as a standard lid.

double vote of BS. advertiser's claim. a lid is a lid is a lid. unless its a lid, then theres where the difference starts.

and everyone who has at least some knowledge of motors know that you could take 100 stock ls1's and they would all run differently and respond differently to the same mod, and dyno different as well. and not all dynos are the same your 500hp monster on one dyno is a 465 hp car on another. point is the company who sells these put this dyno up because out of dozens of dyno runs with cars this was the best. the average dyno chart got "lost"

A lid is a lid for the most part. The FTP 98 and 104 lids will dyno higher than a normal lid and a blackwing will dyno less than an aftermarket. I can see this making more than a normal lid though, the surface area is huge to draw from

Just get it, before you know it you'll be sitting on a filter and driving a lid....In other words it's massive, nobody else has this, I think theirs a reason you don't see this lid on any sponser sites..I to could print up a dyno sheet claiming how waxing my car just added 8 rwhp. But go for it, interesting to see if you support the claims when you install it..

How you gonna fit your round MAF in that oval shaped exit on the lid?? Looks like it was designed to fit with the stock air silencer box behind it then the MAF after that...NO WAY IN HELL the advertisers claim is legit!!!
