Nice aftermarket valve covers seem to be fairly pricey. I'm not sure I would trust the cheap ebay china covers honestly. Stock covers would likely be your best bet, and yeah you are gonna need new coil brackets that mate up properly.

Decent aftermarket covers start around 350-400$ and up.

The new Holly ones are pretty nice for under $180 a pair. I orderd some last month, still waiting on them...Let you know how it goes since i understood after the fact that they will bolt up with LS3 coils(mounting holes are different) thought they would bolt right up to the LS1 coils, ill see what i have to do to make them work. Worst case scenerio, i relocate the coils to under the cowl.

No prices announced yet as far as I know, but Proform has a full line of new LS valve covers out:

you could probably get valve covers, coils, and brackets off of a truck for a reasonable price from a junk yard. If you get the ones with heat sinks on them you'll have the added bonus of higher output coils. you'd also have to buy a set of truck plug wires they are longer because the coils mount up higher, and I think you need to get then wire harness for the coils off the truck also.

If you want all new parts as a complete kit then, Tick Performance has it.

If you have a 98 the coils aren't on a bracket, the perimeter covers the coils are mounted directly to the cover.. Meaning you unbolt them one by one. Therefore you have nothing to modify.. When I had my 98 I got some center bolt valve covers off ebay for like 40-45$.

just buy a set here on the forum and get the brackets or you can get them on Ebay fairly cheap. I bought mine here I think the Valve Covers were $50 and i paid maybe $25 for the brackets. Stick with the GM stuff it's much easier.

I have the covers off of a 5.3,they fit exactly like factory ones. The only difference is the PCV, I had To get a fitting from autozone.
