Default Texas Speed...whats the deal??

So Monday I called and spoke to both Matt and John about their new SS 1-7/8 LT's that I was going to order online tonight (Wednesday). Both guys tell me they have a ton on hand. I just went to their site to order and it says they are out of stock until Jan. 2012!?? WTH? I also asked both of them while on the phone what they thought my gains would be w/ my current set up and Matt tells me roughly 10-15 and John tells me I'd be lucky to see 5rwh. These guys need to pull together and figure their stuff out. No offense.

I'd say 10-15 is more accurate since they have posted dyno results showing those gains over the Pacesetters.

Maybe their website is wrong. Call them back and ask, that's what I would do.

Wouldn't 10-15 be about 5rwh?

If they had them in stock, then why didn't you call and order tonight instead of doing the website?

^^Well maybe because I wasn't in a position to call..plus they are closed and I won't be around tomorrow to call them. And I asked what kind of gains I would see to the rear tires.

i usually just email them. did he say why he thought it would be 5rwhp? maybe the stock heads are holding you back more than your pacesetters?

i've been pretty happy with their products and service

I installed a set of their new SS headers, I wasn't impressed.

After installing many sets of Kooks, and ARH's. I would spend the money on them.

I spoke to one of their sales guys this past Tuesday about some injectors I'm thinking of getting and had asked a question about those headers which the sales associate said they had a huge stock pile of on hand.

As far as the HP #'s go, I wouldn't bank on what another individual quotes you. I've found the majority of these sales people are just that, sales people. You are just going to have to bolt them up and find out for yourself.

Maybe you didn't explain your setup as well to me or John as you did the other. I can tell you we've tested these headers from stock and from other brands of headers and we know the gains they make within just a few HP.

Guys, if you call and we tell you we have them, we have them. However, they were a very hot item and sold out much faster than we predicted (well under 2 months).

We've got our stuff figured out and together.....No offense taken

I apologize for saying they were in stock. They sold quite a bit faster then what we had expected, I still figured we had plenty available from the amount we originally got.

If you describe your setup correctly to us we will let you know what we think based on our own experience. We do know what we are talking about, we do this every day. I remember talking to you and I feel I explained myself pretty well.

Dang it, I was going to order a set too. A buddy bought a 1-3/4" set of headers from them on Monday and he said that he almost bought a set of the new Stainless Steel 1-7/8". Fast selling product.....

Well, they are now made out of stainless, which is fine, but I hate the ebay style stainless that the new headers are made of. I like the "pacesetter" style ones TSP used to get. I am sure its all about making money, so no fooling anyone there.

The fit, didnt like. first set of headers I have ever put on that hit the K member, badly. driver side angle's to far out, and hangs to low and hardly even works with their own y pipe. then the pass side tucks nice, which is fine. Just glad they are one someone else car, and they are happy.

then comes down to installing spark plugs, damn what a bitch that was, using different extentions, 3/4 wrench on most of them.

Just much more happy with other headers. just my opinion.

Really guys their a business that sells stuff, their not ******* psychic. How are they suppose to know how fast their going to sell. As their stated they didnt expect to sell them that fast, you should have oredered them when you had the chance. HP will not be same with every car either, you could have exact same car with same mods and one will most likely out do the other.
