Default 400 whp

I am currently at 372whp. I am running a stock maf, stock tb with ls6 intake on an 02 trans am. It has a tr224 cam (I believe) 241 heads, long tubes and 2 1/2 duals all the way back. I bought it this way and am trying to hit the 400 mark on pump gas efficently.

Throw on a set of heads and you'll be there. I think most people pick up about 25 with stock 243s that would put you right where you want to be or go with a ported set and be over.

If you buy some 5.3L CNC Ported Heads you should get above the 400whp mark. they match up really well with the cam u have in your car too.

Heads will do it but changing the cam will be cheaper. Cooler being a 400rwhp car cam only then head and cam imo.

Electric cutout or Bigger exhaust, Bigger TB and e85 cheaper than going heads and fast. Should yield more power and youll still be cam only.

I was thinking port heads, tb, intake and a tune. If not you can always resale those and buy above mentioned; Fast, 5.3s, other cam.

I made 401.72 rwhp & 389 tq with a Stock 853 heads, Stock Tb, Stock Maf, BBK Intake,SLP Lid & Bellow, 228R Cam, Kooks Lt & ORY, ASP Underdrive Pulley and a light weight flywheel.

Bigger Cam and a tune would get you very close.
My buddies 02 Ws6 with Stock Heads,Stock TB, V2 Cam, Kooks LT & Catted Y, 3' Flowmaster exhaust put down 397 rwhp and 377tq
He added some TSP Stg 2 LS6 heads and put down 444rwhp

i would advise going with e85...at this point in the game for u its just a waste of money and e85 is really overated

u have 2 ways you can go

1. Bigger MAF, along with a 92/92 F.A.S.T. or even 102, 3in exhaust, and a tune

2. or do the heads or bigger cam

Why would you want to put any restriction at all in your air intake...Go mafless & tune with heads.
