Default What intake manifold should i use?

I currently have a 99 TA with a weiand aluminum intake and im wondering if i should keep it, have it ported, or get a ls6 intake with money maker kit? The car has the torquer v3, stage 1 ls6 heads, and a 150 shot. Also what are the intake with the money maker kit worth?

Money maker kit?

But i would say this
Cheap way-ls6
or just fork it over and get a fast...

The weiand on my old car would get steaming hot and just heat soak at the track. Also when i put a stock ls6 on my car it had noticeably more power. Then with the fast it picked up 10whp on the dyno.

Personally, Id go with the money maker with the LS6, unless you can swing picking up a FAST. I dont think the weiand flows that well. What size TB is on it?

Money maker is a N2O setup plumbed in the intake, completely hidden.

it has a bbk 80mm throttle body on it. When i test drove the car it had the ls6 w/ money maker kit on it but the spray wasn't hooked up and when i bought it he put the weiand on it to drop the price for me a bit. I didn't think it ran as good with the weiand but it was originally put on to be safer, if there was ever a nitrous problem.

The LS6 & Weiand are quite similar in performance. There are several threads in here w/ measured results. I have measure each on the same engine.

Because of the N20, I'd keep the Weiand in case of an N20 kaboom in the intake.

IMO,It all depends on what it cost to have it ported, with having the snout opened up to fit a 90 TB.

if you're dead-set on a crossover style intake i'd opt for a fast setup. when you're ready to ditch the pull-ups and move into big boy shorts, the vic series of single planes will always be around. of course there is beck and wilson for some sheetmetal goodness, as well.

Im buying the ls6 w/ money maker and hopefully will get a dyno tune soon. Im going to try and make a few pulls with each intake and see which one puts down more power NA. Any guesses?

But who wants to modify their hood to run the single plane?

Nobody, you simply fork over 500 plus bucks for a 4150 style throttle body, speed density tune and a few more hundred for the victor intake itself. Then you have an intake setup that works just as good as a comparable fast setup.

At WOT and high RPM only.... The other 99.9% of the time youve lost power, torque, throttle responcivness, etc....

You have to have the correct setup for any single plane or short tunner intake to work to your advantage.
