Default Lsx contacting cam position sensor....

Anyone else check this out on their motor?

Ran into the problem with it ealier today on a milled head car.
Tried it out on a stock headed motor and it pressed down tight on the clip for the sensor and the intake wasnt tight yet.

Anyone seen this?

Not with mine; however, the heads on the bolts that hold the plate down under the intake had to be ground down a bit because the LSX manifold as opposed to the LS1 does not have a recessed area for the manifold to sit over those bolts. This made the manifold sit up on those bolts (teetering )and prevented it from sitting flush and sealing properly which was causing a vacuum leak.

The LSX comes with new valley cover bolts so you don't have to grind them down. If you didn't get any contact them and they will send them to you.

Fixed the problem on the car by trimming the sensor and the plug and the intake stopped leaking.
It has the new bolts on the valley cover.
The car picked up 3 rwhp and 12 tq after it was sealed right.

It was Beenfetched's car.

Stock longblock Speedtek W1 cam 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 longtubes with 3.5 inch duals.
Made 363/410 before and 370/429 after through a th400 and 9 inch.
His car is weird it makes the best power at 12.4 a/f and timing at 27/28 with no kr.

then the tranny went

Earlier in the week it had a set of stock 853 castings on it, we changed to a stock 241 casting and it picked up 10/13 throughout the curve.

Mine only hit the PCV tube (Accelerator cable cam) & the coolant tube (bottom front of the intake). But my heads are stock....
