Default y-pipe clamp

I am pulling my trans out and need to pull off the stock y-pipe. I am concerned with the ball and socket type flanges that are on my car as they're stock and have never been removed. If the bolts break, I want to know what my options are. I looks like the bracket on the cat side won't come off with out cutting it, then how would I put the new one on? Any idea where I can get a new oem replacement for this? Or am I SOL??

See pic below.

If the studs break when you attempt to remove the nuts, you have at least 2 options.

1, use a torch to heat the stud / flange until glowing, then use pliers to unthread stud
and replace stud with new replacements from auto parts store.
or

2, Use drill to drill out broken stud, then tap new threads and replace with new stud or (as I did) with a stainless steel bolt.

Broken fasteners are just a part of working on 10 year old cars.

I hear that, just wanna cover my bases before starting my tranny swap. Probably end up drilling em out. Thanks.

As for long tubes...yes, I'd love to. Gotta finish my current project first, then gears, then headers!

Work in progress.

Too Rusty, mine, the bolt turned together with the nut and broke, it was so rusty that looked like the nut was welded to the nut, lol, so i used a hacksaw to cut the bolt, and got me some Coated Pacesseters an Y pipe with FM Merge and cut out, reducer and catback.
