SES Light after LT Header install

SES Light after LT Header install We installed some Kooks headers and Y pipe and cats, this past weekend. On a 2000 TA. A few minutes after the car was started and running the SES light came on. Everything is plugged in all of the emitions and O2 sensors are back on. Do I need O2 sims for the aft most O2 sensors? I was planning on taking the car to AutoZone later and maybe get a code. Any help would be great.

um i dunno it could be your highflow cats. after my install even with simms he ses light came on but it only lasted 50 miles. so after driving to and from the girlfriends housei t went off again, hasn't come back on since. could just need the test miles to retune everything a little.

If you are annoyed by the SES light you could try the O2 simms. I have had mine on for some time now and have not received a code from them. Unfortunately some people still get the inactive switching code even though they bought simms. Did you remove anything else with the install? Perhaps EGR or AIR. I know the EGR removal will set codes but my AIR removal did not.

Many different causes for codes after header install, most are fairly easily solved. Get the codes read and then we can take it from there. Keep in mind that the PCM needs to do some relearning and it may fix itself after you clear the codes.

Thanks for the Info everyone. Im going to AutoZone sometime today so I can get the codes. I put every thing back on the car, EGR AIR all of the O2s. I probably put about 50 miles on the car so far, since the install. Does anyone here know what the codes mean??? I think it would be all Greek to me LOL.
