Default Slp Help

I bought a car that came with this kit http://www.coloradospeed.com/index.p...oducts_id=2540 mine actually has these older style headers which would be these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLE-30053/ Now my question is is this whole kit an off road kit i see the car still has the air pipes and cats and oxygen sensore do off road kits delete the oxygen sensors? I ask because the car is throwin a code and here it is P0161 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2). Im wondering now it has an option on the diablosport to delete the oxygen sensors if i was to do that would it have any effect on the car for example would it run rich or lose power? Whats the powerband on these headers? The car is Auto. It feels slow and sluggish on take off but picks up mid rpm but still feels slower then my old car I owned a 6 spd f body same year all stock except for a gmmg catback and slp cold air intake and it felt quicker on take off and throughtout the whole rpm range. Could this be do to just the oxygen sensor? Just trying to learn a little bit about what i have. The code was thrown a few days after i installed E3 plugs i dont no if that would help diagnose the situation. Thanks.

This has been heavily debated and it is generally acceptable to drive in the rain with no problems. But in the rare event that your engine hydrolocks its all on you. I had the SLP CAI on my old camaro and never had a problem with driving in the rain, but you have to be more cautious driving through puddles especially if you are lowered. If you want to be extra cautious they make a block off plate to put on in the rain but that is rarely practical for a daily driver especially if its parked in the rain. What would be really cool is if you could rig up a lever under the dash that can mechanically pull the plate over the opening or an electronic switch.

On another note for the OP I have had this code since I bought the car and from what I have read, that code is specifically for the O2 heater and should have no problems with regular O2 function (which throws a separate code). It could possibly cause air fuel issues when cold but once it heats up to operating temps I dont believe it is really a factor. But as far as normal function of the O2 causing driveability issues, yea that can cause problems but the measurements causing air fuel to fluctuate are normally the O2's before the cats.

Thanks for the kind words. I think its nice when people can share comments and opinions without totally ragging on each other, granted sometimes things on the internet can be taken the wrong way but this is relatively a positive site and to post threads you go into one of the forums and up top there is an option to start a new thread. And as far as my car goes, i had one of those stupid handheld tunes on for a while but I didnt notice much and I took that crap off and went back to stock. And as far as mods go, so far it has been all visuals I have done on this car, the stock SLP exhaust and intake I have is one of the better flowing catbacks and intake options and Im and just waiting on money for headers. Other than that I plan on keeping it as stock as possible (except for my awesome lowering kit) until I graduate college. But you have a pretty good start on your car, you wont need to change the catback anytime soon and I cant remember if you had headers or not, but that would be the next thing. Also I will be dyno tuning my car after I swap in a good set of headers which should wake up the SLP catback a little bit.

IMO, If it bothers you then remove the bottom section. That's why I did the FRA mod about 12 yrs ago. I have very little worry since the water can still go through the cooling fins on the radiator.
