OK to add to this thread, if I put a TBSS intake on my LQ4 truck, I would then put a bigger TB on it, how do you do that?

Well you dont have too. But thats part of the upgrade is it allows you use a 92mm tb . The TBSS is 4 bolt so you need a adapter plate 3 bolt to 4 bolt to run the 78 mm tb. Running the small tb would hurt some of max potential its designed for but still be a gain. If DBW you will also a Dr X link to covert the signal . If your dbc you'll need a cable bracket mount .

On a 1500HD (2003), is it worth the work to put the TBSS intake & bigger throttle body on it?

HI ALL, I too fit the TBSS intake with a 90mm Air Door.

I manufacture a DBW/DCB conversion kit for the GM 90mm Air Door, Square Motor Flange, USA LS-2 Style.

There is an example fitted to a LS-X 400 test engine, the current engine on my Bench Dyno.

The kit cost is $135.00 AND includes a new TPS/TPS connector.
